When first issued, a green CSCS card for labourers is valid for 2 years. When renewing after 2 years, workers who submit proof of active employment as a labourer (e.g., via a Labourer Declaration Form) can extend to a full 5-year card.
No, the official Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment is a lifetime qualification and never expires. You only need to retake the CITB HS&E Operatives CSCS test online or at a test centre when renewing your card.
Candidates must be at least 16 years old, hold valid government-issued photographic ID (passport, UK driving licence, or biometric residence permit), and have a functional basic understanding of English. No prior construction experience or qualifications are required to apply for CSCS card training.
